A Voice of Reason

With my limited experience in oil & gas I can say a few things regarding this report.

It was the authors of the report and the government that conveyed a threatening and hostile tone initially not the industry. The authors of this report had no business commenting to the media or dictating to government how the report should be adopted.

Industry has every right to question the facts and the position taken by this panel of so called 'experts' - it seems to me that the panel has its own agenda. Some of the organizations which presented information have much broader agendas.

Alberta has lots of money (and no debt) to the point where the surpluses have become an embarrassment. Our problem is not lack of money but the lack of good governance - the current govt is not improving that record.

The Alberta govt spends more per capita than any other province and we still have crappy services more money does not seem to fix this.
